1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the AEOlight platform and related services ("Service") provided by AEOlight, Inc. ("AEOlight," "we," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
AEOlight provides tools for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), including keyword and visibility tracking across AI-powered answer engines, gap analysis, reporting, and related features. We may add, change, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.
3. Account and Acceptable Use
You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
- Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or to scrape or overload third-party services beyond what the Service is designed to do.
- Resell or sublicense the Service without our prior written consent, except as permitted by your plan.
4. Your Content and Data
You retain ownership of the content and data you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to use, store, and process Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service. We do not use Your Content to train AI models for purposes unrelated to the Service. Our use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
5. Payment and Subscription
Paid plans are billed in advance (monthly or annually) according to the pricing displayed at signup or in your account. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in our refund policy. We may change pricing with notice; continued use after the change constitutes acceptance. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, and materials (excluding Your Content), is owned by AEOlight or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service except as permitted in writing or by normal use of the Service.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT RESULTS FROM AEO TRACKING OR ANALYSIS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AEOlight AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND EMPLOYEES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
9. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time through the Service or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or for other reasons with notice where required. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We may retain Your Content as required by law or for legitimate business purposes; otherwise we will delete it in accordance with our data retention practices.
10. General
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and AEOlight regarding the Service. We may modify these Terms from time to time; we will post the updated version and, for material changes, provide notice as appropriate. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
